Betrayed in Love

His eyes dropped asleep
when she put the music on.
Life was moving all around him
with a bag full of surprises;
She laughed softly
not to wake him up
and slided through the living room
to open the door.
A new face unseen by him entered
carrying a knife,
halted beside him
looking all around him.
Life was still moving around him
carrying the bag full of bizarre surprises.
The new face raised the knife,
his eyes dropped dead.
Life fled
turning back only once
before storming out;
to look at his lifeless body;
betrayed in Love.
